EDI(Eletrodeionization), Based on merging ED and Ion Exchanger, an economical way to produce high-purity water continuously- no batch regenration, no hazardous chemicals. With the advanced technology, easy operation and enviromental advantage, it is represent the direction of this field. EDI caused a revolution in water treatment technology. And it is the symbol that water treatment industry exceeds in green standard. EDI equipment includes booster pump. EDI module, DC regulated power supply, flow meter and instrument. EDI equipment includes boost pumps. EDI modules, high voltage DC potentials, flow meters, pipe instruments, etc. Qualified RO produced water is forced into EDI system by boost pumps. Mixed ion exchange resin will continuously remove the impurities from the water by ion exchange. Meanwhile, the electrity to stream flows past the anode and cathode in series, the applied current also drives a water splitting reaction which products hydronium ions (protons) and hydroxylions. These ions continuously regenerate the ion exchange resin so that it will continue to remove impurities from the feed water. At the same time, re-displaced cation and anion from the feed water will permeate into concentrate chamber by some times reverse osmosis. As result, a portion of concentrated stream is recycled back to keep the conductivity, while the other portion of concentrated stream are drained continuously into the sewer tunnel. Electro-regeneration makes its possible to produce continuously de-ionized water without shutdown or conventional regeneration equipment.
